About Us

iyinisiwin Story Institute will meet a need for intergenerational learning and cultural revitalization in Treaty 6 Territory. It will increase the amount of knowledge keepers in the art of storytelling and prepare them for bringing that knowledge back to their communities. This Institute is a one-of-a-kind education training program that will be completely Indigenous led. Throughout the program, students will interact and learn from knowledge keepers and storytellers in Treaty 6 Territory. The Institute will create the link necessary to bring Indigenous stories back to communities and to the children within those communities.
